18 week ultrasound

Welcome to Baby Kamarek's blog. We thought it would be fun to share the stories and pictures with our family and friends across the world as Baby K grows (and so does Mama). Today Tami is 18 weeks pregnant (about 4 1/2 months along) and it was a pretty big day. We did the ultrasound that really made us realize that this little "thing" growing inside is OUR BABY. Today the baby was kicking up a storm - Tami said soccer player but Bill said kicker for the Redskins. We also got a nice wave and the baby gave us a thumbs up - we also counted 10 fingers and 10 toes. We could have found out the sex of the baby today, but we refrained (yeah Bill)! He/she was flipping all around and headed into the breach position but the doctor said not to even worry, it will change positions many times before delivery day comes. All the measurements looked good, we saw a lot of details, it was very exciting! We also found out the baby is 5 days older than we thought - guess what that means....Memorial Day baby (we do love the holiday birthdays in the family).

"Aunt Diane" and "Uncle Jim" are so excited to watch Baby K's arrival. Since we are now experienced Grandparents - we can start giving Samir and Sandy some pointers; ie Sleep NOW! We look forward to regular updates and can't wait to meet Baby K! He/She'll be here before you know it.

I don't know why you all hedging your bets with girl/boy, he/she, etc. I'm going to take a stance right now and say it's a BOY. Definitely. MaHa and PaHa are going to be the best grandparents in the world (I have not met the Kamareks so I'm allowed to say this).

Baby K will have to show strong willpower to be able to overcome all the spoiling the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles will shower on him (Yes Meredith is right Baby K is a boy)

Gee Tam, I'm an authority on boys and I just don't see it. I'm thinking girl. But hey, Mom said you are getting really big and I want to see another picture of you. Love you both, Diana
