26 Week Sonogram

Today was a big day for the Kamarek family. We had a real bonding moment with our baby....Our sonogram appointment was great, we saw all of his/ her features and if you can tell from the pictures above, we have a chubby cheeked baby! The gender was seen by the doctor, but she kept it a secret from us. The will power for Bill and I was in full force not to ask her to tell! Baby K looked healthy, heart beat was good, all of the limbs were there and the doctor commented on the baby's LONG legs! Now Bill is thinking a basketball player instead of a Redskins kicker. It is a very active baby already - I feel him/her all day long and Bill usually gets to feel a few good kicks at night.

Well, there have been a few requests to see the growing belly so Bill took this picture last night before we went to our friends wedding here in DC. I can't believe I'm almost SIX months. Everytime I say that to someone, they reply "wow, it has flown by"....they weren't around the first trimester when I was SICKO and counting the hours to the next day, praying I wouldn't be sick again :) So, we are more than half way there now and getting really excited. Just the usual "pregnancy pains" but can't complain! The baby is very active in the belly now, Papa Bill is just waiting patiently to feel it from the outside. It is such a wonderful and amazing feeling, as all of you Moms know.
